Alyssa Keown

Hello! I’m Alyssa (AJ), an independent photographer based in Michigan. Originally from a small town near Akron, Ohio, I graduated from Kent State University and honed my skills as a photojournalist with the Grand Rapids Press and Battle Creek Enquirer. A pandemic-fueled passion for movies later called me to pursue unit still photography. I’ve been away from the camera for a while as I pursue an MSW at Western Michigan University. Storytelling remains at the heart of my endeavors and I am looking forward to my next adventure.
